Direct deposit trims your to-do list
From 1997 Media Extra

We're a nation "on the go." There's work time, fitness time, child time, spouse time, and if you're lucky - - some quiet time. Wouldn't it be nice to worry about one less thing? Try direct deposit.

With direct deposit, you authorize your employer or federal agency, like the Social Security Administration, to deposit your check directly into your Spokane Media FCU account. You can count on access to funds without visiting the credit union. Instead of a check, you receive a paper record of the transaction.

Direct deposit isn't just for paychecks. Beginning Jan. 1, 1999 everyone receiving a federal benefit must use direct deposit. If you're still receiving Social Security checks, SMFCU, or a local or regional Social Security office can easily switch you to direct deposit.

No matter where your check is coming from direct deposit takes the worry out of:

  • Stolen or misplaced checks.
  • Delayed deposits.
  • Waiting in line.
  • Credit Union hours.

So, take advantage of the convenience and security of direct deposit, and cross another item off your to-do list.
